Empowering the D2R Offline Community
“We believe that every Diablo II: Resurrected player should have the freedom to experiment, theory-craft, and customize their offline experience without limits.”
Our Purpose
D2CE (Diablo II Resurrected Character Editor) was born out of a simple need: a clean, reliable, and open-source tool for the modern Resurrected engine. While many editors exist, we focused on precision, ensuring that local .d2s files remain uncorrupted while offering deep modification capabilities.
Community First
This isn’t a corporate product. It’s a project maintained by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Since 2021, the tool has evolved alongside game updates (up to Patch 2.7+ and beyond in 2026), constantly adapting to the subtle changes in Blizzard’s save file structure.
Why Trust D2CE?
Unlike many generic hex editors, Diablo II Resurrected Character Editor.exe is engineered specifically for the Resurrected save structure. Our engine performs deep-level validation on every save attempt, recalculating the complex 32-bit checksums that the game uses to verify integrity.
The Transparency Standard
We believe in Open Source. Our code is peer-reviewed by the community to ensure it remains free of malicious scripts. This transparency is why D2CE is the preferred choice for streamers, modders, and speed-run testers in 2026.
Our Core Values
The principles that guide the development of the D2R Character Editor project.
100% Free Forever
D2CE will never feature paywalls, subscriptions, or “premium” features. We believe tools for offline play should be accessible to everyone in the Sanctuary.
Safe Offline Play
Our philosophy is strictly Offline-Only. We do not support or encourage online cheating. Our tool is designed to protect your Battle.net account integrity.
Community-Driven
From bug reports on GitHub to feature requests in Discord, every update to Diablo II Resurrected Character Editor.exe is inspired by your feedback.
